Management education in this decade is passing through catharsis. Mushrooming of Institutes all over India has posed many challenges before the system which is responsible for     maintaining quality of management education.

CIMDR (Chintamanrao Institute of Management Development & Research, Sangli) is conducting MBA programme since 1984, it has completed more than 3 decades successfully creating a large talent pool working all over the world. More than 500 passed out students are working abroad and 1000 plus of students have taken up good corporate positions in India.

During this process, the Institute has achieved excellence in academics as well as transforming graduates into budding managers who stand apart in the corporate world because of hard work, unquenched thirst for learning and eagerness to prove their worth in the corporate world.

Just few years before this Institute was rated ‘A’ Institute after a comprehensive survey conducted by AIMA (All India Management Association), New Delhi and Business India Magazine together.

The institute is making special efforts this year by inviting various industries to the Institute, called ‘i2i’ project. Students in a small group meet the industrialists every week to discuss various issues related to the management of their businesses and prepare reports on the topics mutually decided. This is kind of internship associated with the academic program which gives an opportunity to learn and earn.

In order to revitalize our own management program (MBA), we have initiated various activities which ascertain confidence and business skills already present among students.

A novel idea of creating large pool between industry and students in the region . Three years before we organized Job Fair for all the unemployed students in the region which included BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BE, MBA, MCA, and even students who have completed ITI from the local colleges. 30 companies including participated in the event 'Entice Job Fair'.

This is third consecutive year of ENTICE JOB FAIR, which invited 14 companies like Wipro, Cognizant, e-Clerk, Dmart, etc. Around 2000 plus students enrolled for the fair online which constituted 900 plus engineers and 600 plus commerce graduates. Companies are happy to have such a wide choice of students for various kinds of jobs they have. The job description and number of vacancies was displayed prior to the fair.

This is unique experiment in this region which received applaud from all the corners especially students community, college administration and even Government Employment Department.
